The DJI Mavic Mini Drone – Best Mini Drone

One of the best things is the size, just under 249 grams allows you to fly the Mavic Mini without needed FAA registration. It’s small but package with feature likes 30 minute flight time, 2.5 mile HD video transmission, 3-axis gimble holding a 2.7k camera for taking 12MP images or 2.7k Video, and a controller that works with both IOS and Android.

The light weight Mavic Mini folds to fit in your hand. It’s well balanced and performs well even in high winds.

Comes with remote control that works with the DJI fly app, available for both android and ios systems. The Mavic Mini can communicate with the remote for up to 2.5 miles without obstructions.

One Con is the lack of Obstacle avoidance technology.

Eachine E52 Max – Best Cheap Drone

The Eachine is the pick for in the cheap category, under $150 and packed with features. With great aerial 4k video footage and easy learning curve. The flight performance is stable even in windy conditions. There are several preset flight modes, including follow me mode on the free Android or IOS app. The controller is easy to use and provide range up to 330 yards.

The 4k camera has 120 degrees field of view, but no gimble or stabilization software. The 1200Mah Battery gives you about 15 minutes of flight time which is respectable considering the price.

The build quality does feel a bit cheaper, but the flight performance will overcome it’s feel.

DJI Mavic 2 Pro – Best Overall Drone

Introduced in August of 2018, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro instantly became the best consumer class folding drone that DJI had to offer.

With a demanding price under $1800, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro is one of the best drones for those serious about their aerial video and photography.

The Mavic 2 Pro does come with omnidirectional obstacle avoidance system that stops the drone from proceeding if an obstacle is detected.

The DJI Mavic 2 Pro has an integrated Hasselblad camera with a 24-48mm optical zoom and can take time-lapse video using DJI’s Hyperlapse feature. It’s also literally covered in cameras, with collision avoidance sensors in the front, rear, bottom and sides. It’s packed with cool video-centric features, like ActiveTrack. If the Mavic 2 Pro is tracking something that goes behind an obstacle, the drone can predict where the subject will emerge and automatically reacquire it when it appears.

DJI Mavic Air – Best Drone For The Money

In late January, DJI pulled the curtain back on yet another addition to its growing fleet of drones. A marvel of engineering and design, the Mavic Air was built to go wherever adventure takes you. Inheriting the best of the Mavic series, this ultraportable and foldable drone features high-end flight performance and functionality for limitless exploration.

The Mavic Air is the culmination of everything DJI has learned from building and selling drones for the past 12 years. As such, it boasts a very polished flying experience that’s likely to satisfy beginner and pro pilots alike.

DJI Inspire 2 – Best Drone For Professionals

The DJI Inspire is a truly fearsome-looking drone, even if you’re accustomed to using these kind of devices. A fusion of metal, carbon fiber and plastic, it looks like some kind of robotic killing machine when it’s in full flight; it even has moving arms which rise when it’s in the air in order to give the camera a completely unhindered view of the world.

The overall build quality of the DJI Inspire is incredibly robust, so robust in fact that we wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of a collision with this particular drone, especially when it’s travelling on around 49 mph, which DJI claims it’s capable of when there’s minimal wind resistance.

The Inspire arms are made from Carbon Fiber which make this drone extremely light while at the same time giving it extra strength.
